Julia G. Borst is the Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending and Principal Lending Manager of Guaranteed Rate Inc. Julia brings 14 years of Real Estate and Mortgage Banking experience to her position. Guaranteed Rate, the 4th largest independent mortgage banker in the Country, announced their expansion to Utah in 2009 under Julia’s leadership. Julia and her Team have been together for 9 years specializing in the service of the Realtor community partnering to give thousands of Utah families the dream of homeownership.
Julia is passionate about serving her community as well as her colleagues. She has served on the Utah Mortgage Lenders Association Board of Governors for the last two years, and was elected by her peers to serve as the 2010 President, Utah Mortgage Lenders Association. Julia has worked closely with both local and national policy makers to bring higher ethical lending standards to the industry, as well as to fight to keep the lending community vibrant and competitive during recently challenging times. She has confidently laid out a bold and vigorous agenda for the Association during her two year term to help ensure Utah families as well the real estate community, access to competent mortgage advice and lending services.
Julia’s true love is her husband Tom of 14 years and their 3 children Alexis, Christopher and Sydney. Often heading out the door for a run in Provo Canyon wearing her yellow LiveStrong wristband, she is an avid marathon runner and actively raises money for both LiveStrong and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society . Her family loves to ski, snowmobile, all things baseball and traveling to their favorite destinations Disneyland and Hawaii. Julia and her family live in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
